Priceless Photographic Memories

Posted by Ross Henry on

Childhood is an important phase filled with enjoyment, play, innocence but most of all it is the time to discover one’s Charisma, which tells the world how they grew as a person. When I look back to the days of my early childhood, I do not remember much. I remember how my sweet granny used to caress my tresses.

I loved my granny. Life is short and we have to maximize happiness by creating eternal memories. Eventually, all will be a memory in someone’s heart. We have to be our best. Life makes us live through many emotions of a smile, tears, and happy moments. Everyone comes and passes. Tears can dry, Smiles can fade, but the memories last forever.

Last week when cleaning my room, found an old photograph shot by my uncle, Danny. Uncle Danny was the most famous photographer in Durham. It was the picture taken in the marriage ceremony of my cousin sister with my granny. My sister is elder than me by ten years.

"A picture is worth a thousand words but the memories are priceless".

The marriage ceremony was a euphoric occasion. I absented myself from school for many days. My heart was filled with joy. In the evening, the bridegroom and his party came. On that day, our house was crowded with friends and relatives. These guests were personally invited by the bride and groom. The treasured people of their lives have traveled across the world to be a part of it.

Danny was busy in capturing the pictures in front of grey photo background, since my sister is a big photography nut and she loves to hang the pictures all over the place.  The fundamental purpose of wedding photography is to capture emotions of the beautiful young couple, parents, friends and relatives. He was doing a good job of it. He did not miss to shoot when my granny's lower lip quivered when she saw her granddaughter walk down the aisle, the love and the tears of parents which says silently that they will always be there for her, no matter of what happens.

Danny had a plan of creating an album which shows up as a luxury destination wedding as a surprising gift for the young couple. He guided some of her friends and relatives to take a picture in front of the Romantic red photo backdrop which is printed as a decorated marriage hall. He also took some pictures in front of the green chromo key studio backdrop to make a lively image with the help of chromo software.

The wedding album is the only physical product that cherishes the memory after the marriage. We might not look at it every day but when we do, it tells us so much more than the words can. The album was magnificent. The photo which I found is the only photo which is not on their album since my granny was wearing the green overcoat on her wedding and he could not process the image as per his plan.

"Life is short, live it. Love is Rare, grab it. Memories are sweet, cherish it."
I wish to thank my Uncle Danny for cherishing my memories by taking this photograph.
