Flag Cross Bases
Cross bases are the standard free-standing base for feather, teardrop and rectangle flags on hard surfaces — exhibition halls, showroom floors, paved forecourts and indoor foyers. The pole drops into the centre socket and the four arms spread the load without needing ground fixings.
Choosing the right base
- Heavier bases hold larger flags steady in draughty or breezy positions.
- The 4.41 lb base suits small indoor flags; 7.9 lb and above are recommended for 11ft and taller flags.
- Deluxe bases match our Deluxe-grade poles.
- For extra stability on any base, add a water bag on top of the cross arms.
Cheaper when bought with a flag
A base ordered on its own carries the full cost of its own shipment, and bases are heavy. Added to a flag order it travels in the same parcel, which is why the price shown on a flag product page is lower than the standalone price here.
